Independent · solo-built · in public

One developer hunting the next 1000×, in public.

Early Thunder is an autonomous, institution-grade research engine for pre-mainstream opportunities across DeFi, public equities, and private markets. No team, no fund, no black box. Just an engineer who built the tool he wished existed and left the doors open. Hear the storm before anyone else.

Our story

It started as frustration.

The opportunities that matter most are buried where almost nobody is looking. A protocol in its Toy Phase, an under-followed equity before earnings, a deadline that fires a catalyst three weeks from now. The information exists. It’s just scattered across on-chain data, GitHub activity, filings, funding rounds, and a hundred Discord threads.

So I built a private pipeline to pull it all into one place and score it the same way every time. No mood, no narrative, no fear of missing out. It scanned, it ranked, it flagged the rare convergence where multiple signals lined up at once.

The pipeline got good. Good enough that hiding it felt wrong. So I opened it up. Early Thunder is that engine, running in public, with every score sourced and every failure published.

The mission

Turn chaos into a short list.

Thousands of obscure, pre-mainstream opportunities surface every month. Almost all of them are noise. The mission is to compress that chaos into a short list of validated, adversarially-tested ideas. Every one scored across 8 equally-weighted dimensions, sourced, timestamped, and stress- tested against a dedicated short-seller pass before it ever reaches you. And the public site stays free, because edge that only the funded can afford isn’t edge worth talking about.

Lifetime membership · $99

Everything is free. The calls I’m positioned in are for members.

The pipeline, the scores, the misses, all free, in public, every figure sourced and timestamped. But the calls I’m actually positioned in, my highest-conviction findings before they’re obvious, I share only with $99 lifetime members. One payment. Lifetime access. No subscription, no upsell treadmill. All through Zovo.

  • Priority access to new picks. The highest-conviction findings before they show up on the public dashboard.
  • The deeper data behind each thesis. The full scoring breakdown, sources, and the short-seller pass I run on every call.
  • The calls I'm actually positioned in, flagged as such. Not just the watchlist, but where my own conviction sits.
  • Specific-protocol requests. Point the engine at something you care about and get it scored.

Key milestones

How it got here.

  1. 2014

    First lines of code

Started writing software professionally. The habit that never broke: build the tool you wish existed, then ship it.

  2. 2021

    Tab Suspender Pro

First Chrome extension at scale. Proved that a single developer could ship, support, and grow a real product used by thousands.

  3. 2023

    Zovo studio + BeLikeNative

Founded the Zovo studio. BeLikeNative crossed 13,200+ users at a 4.63 rating. Twenty extensions, 50,000+ users, all solo.

  4. 2025

    The 1000x question

Spent nights drowning in obscure protocols, airdrop threads, and SEC filings looking for asymmetric bets. The signal was buried under noise. So I started building a pipeline to dig it out.

  5. Now

    Early Thunder, in public

That private pipeline became four live terminals scoring 247+ protocols across 8 signal dimensions. The whole thing runs in public, sourced, timestamped, and adversarially stress-tested.

The builder

Michael Lip.

Solo developer and founder of Zovo, based in Warsaw, Poland. A CTO-turned-solo-dev who ships Chrome extensions and AI tools at scale. Tab Suspender Pro, BeLikeNative (13,200+ users, rated 4.63), Focus Mode Pro, Session Manager Pro. Twenty extensions and 50,000+ users under the Zovo brand.

Active in open source, with 140+ upstream PRs merged into projects including Google Chrome, axios, and NiceHash. Early Thunder applies that same engineer’s discipline to opportunity intelligence. The person who wrote the scrapers is the person reading the data.

What guides the work

The principles.

01

Master the craft

Tools, scrapers, scorers, dashboards, all built by hand, end to end. No agency, no contractor. The person who designed the methodology is the person reading the data.

02

Fall in love with the problem

Not the asset, not the thesis. The problem is finding real signal before the crowd does. Everything else is downstream of caring about that one thing relentlessly.

03

Zero trust on numbers

Every figure is sourced, timestamped, and methodology-linked. If a claim can't be traced to its origin, it doesn't ship. No vibes, no screenshots without receipts.

04

Dig deep to find the gem

The best opportunities live in the Toy Phase. Ignored, underbuilt, mislabeled as a joke. Real edge requires reading the commits, not the headlines.

05

Be adversarial

Every bull thesis is stress-tested against a dedicated short-seller pass. The failures get published too. The Graveyard exists because 88% of airdrops lose value within 90 days.

06

Ship in public

No black box. The pipeline runs where you can see it. Show your work, or it didn't happen.
